Slippery Rock Football, known as The Rock, is the college football team at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.Slippery Rock competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference which is a part of NCAA Division II football.They play their home games at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium, a 10,000 capacity stadium named after famous Rock coaches. The NCAA announced April 18 that Slippery Rock University had been selected as the host institution for the 2018 Division II Fall Festival, along with the 2019 Division II men's and women's soccer national championships and the 2018 and 2020 Atlantic Regional cross country championships.
